7 mai 2005 Vancouver, BC - Les superheros portent luers messages sur le pont.

Vancouver - Global News - Héros sur le pont - VIDEO

In the pre-dawn hours, 4:00 AM Spiderman - AKA - Peter Parker - scaled the Pattullo Bridge that spans the mighty Fraser river some 300 feet above the water.

Spiderman was up that bridge in a blink of an eye.

Once aloft Spidey made himself comfortable, keeping undetected and awaited the dawn.

Meanwhile to the south, The Incredible Hulk and his comrade scaled the Gantry that spans the entire 6 lanes of the Alex Fraser Bridge which also spans the mighty Fraser River several hundred feet above the water.

Both Bridges link Surrey BC to the Vancouver BC core.

At 5:30 AM after the Hulk and his aid had safely hung their 11" by 2" foot Fathers-4-Justice banner, 6 squad cars converged on our heroes and promptly closed two of the three north bound lanes of the Alex Fraser.

Meanwhile back at the Pattullo Bridge none were yet aware of Spiderman upon the bridge. Spidey was getting anxious and cold as he awaited some action. Spidey was given the go ahead as the sun arose 7:00 AM to drop the huge Fathers-4-Justice Banner with our web addy and did.

An awesome sight to behold as the 30" by 10 " banner greeted all north bound traffic into Vancouver. Equally a sight to behold was Spiderman arising from the girders of the bridge to greet the new dawn.......

Batman noticed several squad cars with their amber lights on a the foot of the Pattullo and mentioning it to Robin concluded the police were attempting to mobilize their forces and awaiting further instruction as their resources were obviously thin with the action on the Alex Fraser Bridge.

Batman and Robin then set to work communicating with the media, travelling from location to location keep updated on their heroes............

As Batman and Robin returned to the Alex Fraser Bridge to the South at 7:30 AM, the sky was lit up by the lights of a dozen emergency vehicles including a ladder truck already extended to our heroes. Our heroes held their position and negotiated with authorities. A Global and CTV news crew already on hand filming.

By 9:30 AM the Hulk and partner, now freezing and tired agreed to come down, allowing the authorities to re-open the lanes of traffic that were closed and allow the now backed up of traffic all the way back to 88th ave. in Surrey to travel through.

Upon Batman and Robin's return to the Pattullo bridge to check on Spiderman our crusaders discovered the authorities had now moved into position and had shut down the entire Pattullo bridge and with a Global news crew on hand acknowledging Spiderman and his banner in all his glory.

Media were now moving in on our web crawler and things were just getting interesting as our web slinger waved and posed for the gathering below.

10:30 AM Batman and Robin were then summoned to retrieve the Hulk and aid from the Delta Police Detachment and awaited their release. Charges are pending for the pair and their first court appearance is in on June 20/05.

After Batman and Robin picked up the pair we quickly whisked them off to a meet at the foot of the Alex Fraser Bridge with a Global News team awaiting for a live interview that included spots from Batman and the Hulk, later appearing at noon.

Shortly after that the team then made their way back to the Patullo Bridge to check on Spiderman.

Upon arriving we could see that the entire bridge was still closed and noticed the fire crew upon the ladder taking our banner in to police custody........

We immediately tried Spiderman on his phone and received no answer. We knew then the web crawler had been nabbed. This was around 12:30 PM.

Several hours after Spiderman's appearance the Pattullo Bridge was re-opened and traffic allowed to flow.

All day, every thirty minutes,News 1130, AM radio ran our story as top story..................

The footage of the Hulk on the Alex Fraser bridge and of Spiderman on the Pattullo bridge was phenomenal. As well as the live interviews that were done for several radio stations and television news teams.

Batman and Robin after dropping the Hulk and friend off, went to the Surrey Police Detachment to check on what became of their web crawler.

Spiderman was not released until 3:00 am the following day with a promise to appear. Robin came to the rescue of our web slinger who later found his way
